Wheelhouse

The wheelhouse, also known as wheel case, is the recess in the vehicle body in which the wheels are fitted. They aid the energy transfer from the wheel suspension to the vehicle body and also serve as a splash guard for the cabin, engine compartment and surroundings. The wheelhouse must therefore be corrosion-resistant.
